Connectivity of Gujarat

The state of Gujarat, owing to its industrial importance, is well connected by air, rail and road.

By Air :

Gujarat has 10 domestic airports and 1 international airport at Ahmedabad. All major airlines in India like Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Sahara Airlines, Spice Jet, Deccan Airlines and Kingfisher Airlines have regular operations to and from Ahmedabad. Other airports are in Bhavnagar, Vadodara, Kandla, Bhuj, Surat, Jamnagar, Keshd, Probandar and Rajkot.

By Rail :

There is an extensive network of railways within Gujarat. The state is linked with important trains from all most all parts of the country. Major stations like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Gandhinagar, and Rajkot are well connected by regular express and super-fast trains from various parts of the country.

By Road :

An extensive network of national highways, state highways and other roads run through the state and connect it with the rest of the country. The total length of roads in the state is about 74, 075 km. Regular bus and taxi services are available for internal transportation within the state and also to the neighboring states. Other means of local transportation include autos, taxis and cycle rickshaws which are economic and easily available.
